Types of Search Engine Success Factors
On-Page SEO
On-page SEO search ranking factors are those that are within the content creator's control. This includes aspects like the content quality, site architecture and html.
Off-Page SEO
Off-Page ranking factors are aspects that aren't directly influenced by the content creator. Quality links, local indexing, trust/authority of your website and social reputation are all Off-Page SEO ranking factors.
Even though Search Engine Optimisation SEO can be split into on and off page - you still need elements to work together. For example, having a great HTML title won't help if a page has low quality content. Lots of low quality links won't help either.
