The Aber First Awards presentation was held on Friday night at the Old College Aberystwyth, where 10 awards were handed out, along with a top award for overall business of the year. Red Squirrel Marketing were proud to sponsor one of the awards as well as being nominated for another; the highlight of our night though was when our Social Media client Alexanders won the Social Media award.
The awards, which are now held annually, after previously being held biennially, are organised by Menter Aberystwyth, and help to raise the profile of businesses in the Aberystwyth area.
Dozens of shortlisted business people attended the event and the MC for the evening was Ioan Guile. We had a great evening with our guests for the night, one of our many clients in Aberystwyth D M Davies Carpets.
Our Social Media clients in Aberystwyth and Cardiff, Alexanders Estate Agents won the Social Media award, we have helped AEA for nearly a year with their social media management, marketing advice and video content for their new website in Cardiff.
Alexanders is the largest and most successful Estate Agents in Aberystwyth and we have helped promote all of their properties to potential clients via Facebook and Twitter, with content interaction on the platforms the business has received more an more messages direct through facebook as well as an increase in website hits and call to the office. As well social media management we helped in advising the business on social media competitions to increase its visibility in the area.
